Marketing Executive
VertexHR brings employee records, leave and absence, timesheets, documents and AI-powered document expiry alerts into one place, for just £3 per employee per month.
We are looking for a driven Marketing Executive to put VertexHR in front of small UK organisations with 1 to 30 employees and turn that interest into paying licences. You will own marketing activity end to end, from campaigns and content through to lead follow-up and closing sales, working directly with the founder. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build a brand from an early stage and see the direct impact of their work.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and run multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, LinkedIn, paid social, Google Ads and SEO) targeting small businesses with 1 to 30 employees.
- Generate, qualify and follow up leads, run product demos, and convert prospects into paying VertexHR licences.
- Create engaging content including blog posts, case studies, social posts, email newsletters and landing-page copy.
- Build relationships with accountants, bookkeepers, business networks and local chambers of commerce who can refer small businesses.
- Manage and update the VertexHR website and marketing materials.
- Represent VertexHR at webinars, networking events and small business shows across the UK.
- Track campaign performance, cost per lead and conversion rates, and report results with clear recommendations.
- Gather customer feedback and share insights with the product team to shape messaging and features.
- Keep the CRM accurate and up to date with every lead, contact and deal.
What you'll bring
- At least 2 years' experience in B2B marketing, ideally with SaaS or software products.
- A track record of generating leads and converting them into sales.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing: LinkedIn, Google Ads, SEO, email marketing and social media.
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to explain products simply to non-technical business owners.
- Confidence on the phone and in video demos.
- Comfortable with a CRM and marketing analytics tools.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently from home.
- A degree in marketing, business or a related field is a plus, but not essential.
- Nice to have: knowledge of HR or small business software, or experience with Canva and website builders.
What we offer
- £30,000 annual salary.
- Full-time, permanent contract.
- Remote working from anywhere in the UK.
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
- Workplace pension.
- The chance to grow a new product and your career with it.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
